Is this smart right after I did a drug test for my job, I went and had one done on my own in case they ?

A waste. No matter what the result is, you are probably ';at will'; employment, which means you can quit or they can fire you at any time, for any reason. Why would they go through the trouble to set you up? They can just cite something like ';poor productivity'; and fire you.
Let's say the test they gave you was positive, and the test you took on your own was negative. Unless you got it done at the same clinic, they could easily say that the test you paid for was not as sensitive as the one they gave you.
';At will'; employment is the most common type of employment in America. Like I said, it means that you can quit at any time, and they can fire you at any time. The other main type of employment is anything with a contract (including union jobs). A contract may stipulate that you will work from X date until Y date, or if you are in a union, they will supposedly back you up if your employer were to try to fire you.
Because you are probably at will, your employer can let you go for any reason. Surely you haven't been 100% perfect at your job, and if they really wanted to fire you, they could find some reason without resorting to tampering with drug test results.
Which leads to my next point: There is no way they could have sabotaged your test, unless they just had you pee in a cup in the office and said they would take care of everything else. If they sent you to a clinic, then only clinic employees had access to your test. If it all gets tested by the same people, as you say, then why would one test fail?
And it really doesn't matter if the test you paid for is ';better.'; If the company has a policy to get all drug tests done at a certain clinic, then they aren't going to bother with the results you got from another clinic. And don't count on your clinic giving you any support in proving that their methods are superior - why would they?
The likelihood of someone at your work and someone involved in your drug test both being in the same frat, and conspiring to get you fired, is preposterously low. Again, they can fire you for any reason. If you are a good employee, they won't fire you.
I strongly suggest that you seek out psychiatric help. Everything you are saying is reminding me of someone I personally knew who had a severe mental illness.

DUI the other day...No rights read, breathalizer, or blood test done...Have a case?...?
So early Saturday morning I was sitting in a parking lot, car was on. Cop pulled me out, barely failed the field test and yes I started to mouth off a little. There were open bottles in the car. Ummm, I received no breathalizer or blood test at the jail. As for your case, what training have you had to judge whether you ';passed'; or ';barely'; failed FST's? None. FST's are not pass or fail, they are a means to see if impairment exists and at what level. The officer's training and experience is what determines the results of FST's.
You seem to get the gravity of what you did, which is a good thing. I hate to tell you you don't have much of a chance in court if the officer documented everything well. If this is your first and you choose to plead guilty, let the judge know that you realize it was a mistake.

One weekend she went down to Myrtle Beach (were we lived before I joined up in the Air Force and where we planned on relocating again) for some ';Interviews'; and of course this ex of hers lives like a town away from there.
She swears up and down she never saw him but hell she obviously has no trustworthiness in my eyes after catching her sneaking around on her phone remaining her ex Grandpa so I wouldn't even consider it anything until I read the text messages she was sending to ';Grandpa aka her Ex';

Absolutely. I would go even further.. All foreign nationals who wish to live and drive in the UK should take the theory, lessons and Practical driving tests as the people already living here do.

I applied for a refund in Feb 2007 from the Abbey and personnally there response has been disgusting i have done all the paper work they even had the cheek to sent my copy statments out on 28th JUNE 2007 but they were dated 01.03.07 strange do you not think .I have sent so many letters and documentation and received next to no reply from them all my documentation was sent to the FOS and they told me the way my bank had treated me was unexceptable ,i had been told i was put through to the second stage and had received no offer from the bank any advice thank you for reading my rantOft test case?

The way you`ve been treated is really bad! Normally, as soon as you get your statements from the bank, you dealings with the bank are done. You have to send the letter asking for your charges back, and letter before action, but it really doesn't matter if they ignore those, you just move on to the court stage, and from their anything the bank send is irrelevant unless its an offer.
Unfortuantely, as you are aware by the sounds of it, all claims are on hold pending the outcome of the test case. The case is being brought to the high court by the OFT to determine once and for all if bank charges are unlawful or not. If the OFT win, everyone will get their charges back, instead of the old system where some did and some didn't. It will also be much quicker and easier. However, if the banks win it will be the end of bank charge claims.
The case is scheduled to start at the end of Jan 2008, and is expected to last around a year before the final verdict is reached after appeals etc, as the issues are so complex.
Your claim should technically be on hold, however although there is supposed to be a stay on all cases in all courts, its down to the discression of the individual costs. Some courts are still allowing cases to be heard, whilst most put a stay on the case.
You can if you wish move on to the court stage, but its a gamble, as you are risking your court fees. If your local court is still hearing bank charge cases, then you could win now and the bank would have to pay out. However, the old rules still apply and their is a chance you could lose. The case could also be put on hold, and then if the banks win the test case you would lose your court fee and not get your charges back.
Personally, although its incredibly frustrating, I would wait and see what happens in the test case before you take further action. If the OFT win you should get your charges back quickly and without court action, as your claim is in the system already. I cannot advise you on what to do, it has to be your own decision, but this would be my own choice.

However, I do recall reading that certain brainwaves and activity is present when people lie*, which an MRI scan can pick up.
*(apparently, lying requires certain areas of the brain, and also requires more work of the brain to lie as it needs to fabricate on the spot whereas recall is far easier, faster %26amp; direct)
So if not a polygraph test - perhaps a test which includes the use of this technology.
I would also suggest whoever is found to be lying - loses any chance of custody...

However, if the police felt such a 'test' might be useful as a general guide, maybe.

Many women are reluctant to report abuse in their marriage (that's why we have pro-arrest policies). Often, they are embarrassed about it and dont want to get their husband/child's father in trouble. For this reason, the allegation may come to light in court.
It can also be hard to get evidence or witnesses for abuse -- what abuser would even allow witnesses to see what he is doing? they dont.
Research (Bala %26amp; Schuman, 2000) has in fact found that men make more false allegations in court. I have numerous articles - a recent one has the lawyer calling the dad a ';Nice guy'; (he sexually abused his 8 yo and beat and killed her) and claiming the woman committed the abuse. I know of MANY cases where the woman alleges abuse and the father says she is alienating the child from him ---- in these cases, the WOMAN is punished - with fines, jail or loss of custody.
Batterers getting custody is a HUGE problem and a national disgrace. The Leadership Council estimates 58,000 children/year go to unsupervised visitation or custody with abusers.
There is now a battered women's conference. There are web sites for mothers rights. It is the start of the movment. Right now, all these dads are getting attention - they never talk about family violnece (unless its female perpetrated) and many in fact are abusers that are chipping away at services for female victims of violence and working towards discrediting them. PAS is based on the premise that women %26amp; children lie. False allegations is something they spew but cannot support with evidence. The Innocence Project says nohting about false allegations imprisioning ';innoncent men';.
I went to a femicide conference a few weeks ago - the greatest indicator of homicide for a woman is her fear. Her Fear. She lives with him, she knows him, she can sense when the situation will get to the point of murder. Oh great! I thought b/c nobody believes women.

You can still make a claim but your bank will now hold this claim untill after the court case before making any payment, amount of payment will depend on the outcome of the case
Basically a few of the big banks have put a test case together to see whther bank charges are legal or not. The judgement on this case will determine whether the banks can get away legally with these charges and wheter people can claim them back.
Because the test case is happening now, the judge in charge has put a stop on claims made after he said so so the banks can ignore you and not follow industry rules on customer complaints until a decision has been made.
Once a decision is made, and assuming the bank charges are illegal then you can then claim.
The test case is just one claim and the Banks are contesting it. If the banks win this test case then there will be no compensation. You can still make a claim but your bank will now hold this claim untill after the court case before making any payment, amount of payment will depend on the outcome of the case
Basically a few of the big banks have put a test case together to see whther bank charges are legal or not. The judgement on this case will determine whether the banks can get away legally with these charges and wheter people can claim them back.
Because the test case is happening now, the judge in charge has put a stop on claims made after he said so so the banks can ignore you and not follow industry rules on customer complaints until a decision has been made.
Once a decision is made, and assuming the bank charges are illegal then you can then claim.
The test case is just one claim and the Banks are contesting it. If the banks win this test case then there will be no compensation. Doing it like that on the last day of your period, is very highly, i got pregnant twice like that, that 2 weeks is when your ovulating, so the test is gonna take 2-4 weeks to show positive if you are pregnant, it took mine a month. So if you think you are and the test shows neg then you can do a blood test at the doctors! Good luck!

Why would there be a court order for a paternity test in a child support case in NYC?
My brother lived with this girl for close to 8 years, they have a 4 year old daughter, but they broke up recently. As soon as he moved out, he then receives a summons for a paternity test--- not child support. Why??? I must say that he doesn't remember if he signed the little girls birth certificate, we feel like this might be a sign because the reason of separation was infidelity. He says he has no doubt the little girl is his, why would the court order a paternity test, and should he take it?? If she is on any kind of state aid, such as welfare, subsidized housing, TANF, the state is going to go after the biological father for child support. Even if he signed the birth certificate, he is not legally the father according to the Courts since he was not married to the child's mother.
If they had been married, the child would legally be his even if he were not the biological father since all children born during a marriage are considered to be the legal child of the husband.
I think every time a child is born, unless it is known to be the result of artificial insemination or something similar, there should be DNA testing to prove that the ';father'; is indeed the father. There are a lot of cases of paternity fraud where a woman will claim that the man is the father and he will find out years later that he isn't. And I'm a married woman who knows for a fact that my husband is the biological father of my children.Why would there be a court order for a paternity test in a child support case in NYC?

My cycles were always regular and I had no reason to assume I had any problems. Never had painful periods or anything like that. Once I got married and started trying and was no longer on bc's, I got worried after 12 months of not conceiving! Come to find out, they did an HSG test and it showed that both of my tubes were blocked. No amount of relaxing or not stressing over conception would have corrected that. Good luck to you on getting pregnant. In the past, I have always tested early and always got disappointed. However, that was b/c with my tubes blocked, there was just no way for that egg to get to the sperm or vice versa. This is the first month after my tubes being unblocked so we'll see what happens.

I tested early and got such a faint positive. I wasn't sure if that line was really there or if I just really wanted it to be. I took a second test and it did the same thing. It was so frustrating. But a few days later a had a positive blood test done at the doc. It really is so hard to wait to test.
i usually get a 31-35 day cycle but have had the odd 40ish one thrown in. i'm almost on day 51 now and still too scared to test as i don't wanna see negative!!

The hair test is made to screw you over, they can take hairs from your leg, arm, head, etc, it really doesn't matter because it will be able to show what drugs you've taken for about the last 4-5 months. Beating that test is quite hard although my friend had quit for just a month, got a hair test and somehow managed to get his job. State Department and i had to be hair tested. there are shampoo's and things on the internet that you can buy, albeit they are a little expensive, but they worked for me. hair testing may show a history of things, but a hair test can be beaten.

A child has the right to see both parents, so if your child is over 11 (I think it's 11) they will be able to give a statement about which parent they want to live with and if they want any contact with you.
Courts are very much biased towards mothers, so you are at a bit of a disadvantage. The mother of your child probably knows this so it will probably encourage her to lie.
The only advice i can give you is to note down everything she says and does regarding the case and your child. By recording phone calls to her you have a record of anything she lies about, which you can present in court.
Even if the child's mother lies it is highly unlikely you will get all contact taken away from you.
Never heard of using a lie detector for family court cases. A child has the right to access both parents. To see you child, you file a motion in family court to enforce your visitation rights, with your documentations of such, the judge hears what you have to say about not seeing your own child, and what the mother has to say. Unless you are found unfit, you have the right to see your child, and the mother cannot prevent you from seeing the child. The judge will make a ruling on this in court, that is why there is family court to resolve issues as such.
Unfortunately, the family courts are very much weighted in the mother's favour and because of this, mothers know they can lie to keep their child. The fact that the mother is denying access says a lot about her and that she doesn't actually much care for your child's welfare (unless of course you are a drug addict or abusive then the safety of the child should be paramount). My advice is to get a good lawyer and keep a note of everything she does and says - if necessary tape her conversations.
