How to write abstract on test cases?

In the abstract simply summarize what the test case is designed to do and test. What inputs does it expect? What types of environmental conditions does it expect to run on (platform, hardware etc)? What are the expected outputs? What the result might mean.





People often see the word abstract and get confused or scared. It simply means to summarize. You come up with the abstract when you put together the test case, not after you have run it.
