Give me some idea on writing test cases for testing a website?

The client gave us two websites -


tasks- 1. to integrate the two sites - adding static pages from one to the other and then customizing the look and feel with this site.





2. there is some mechanism to select a specific course and select the type of payment .





3. then the user and the admin of the site should get some kind of acknowledgement emails.





Just gave a brief overview of the requirements from the client side. Now plz tell me how to begin to write test cases for this project - any turorials...any help.Give me some idea on writing test cases for testing a website?
